Veronica's poetry, also published as V. A. Bettencourt, has appeared or is forthcoming in literary magazines throughout the world, including Epiphany, The Comstock Review, Chestnut Review and The American Journal of Poetry, among many others. Her work was selected as International Merit Award winner in the Atlanta Review 2023 International Poetry Competition, and long-listed for the 2024 Fish Poetry Prize Judged by former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins. Veronica studies poetry with Mark Doty and is a candidate for an MFA in poetry at Pacific University.
