About the Author

Education

 Veronica is a graduate of Brown University who studies poetry with Mark Doty and is a candidate for an MFA in poetry at Pacific University. Since she began to write creatively in September 2021, she has also studied poetry with  Marie Howe, Ellen Bass, Rick Barot, Eduardo C. Corral, Danusha Laméris, Maya C. Popa, Rosebud Ben-Oni and others.

Awards

Veronica's poetry won Gulf Stream Magazine's 2025 Wet! poetry contest and was selected by Rena Priest as one of the top 3 entries for the 2025 Crab Creek Review Prize, among other awards.

Editorial Experience

While at Brown, Veronica founded and was Editor in Chief of the undergraduate literary magazine Ophelia. 


She served as a reader at Palette Poetry in 2024.
